A massive Iwade Observer apology as there was an incorrect percentage in the February Iwade Observer version of the Housing Needs Survey Results. It should have read "85% of respondents who answered the question said they would not be supportive ov future housing development in Iwade Parish" not 5%. Model Flying Club raise £1740 for Air Ambulance!
The Medway Model Flying Club started in 1974 at Raspberry Hill and have been flying at Orchard farm Iwade since 1986. Collecting for the Kent Surrey and Sussex Air AmbulanceTrust since 2004 they have raised over £12000 for the charity to date, this year raising a massive £1740. A big thank you to Chairman Phil Fearn who got in contact to give IV an update. The Model Flying Club have had displays (static) at Borden Village Fete  and Bredgar Light Railway during the year and are always willing to give a talk about radio control  model aircraft to any Iwade clubs or organisations that are interested. The Club had a lucky escape this year with the new Solar farm nearly ending the club, but the size of the farm was reduced so they were able to continue at Orchard Farm. Contact Phil Fearn at for any more information and the Club would like to wish Iwade residents a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
