A big thank you to Phill Hyde, father of Iwade's Edward Hyde who has had an amazing year since winning BBC Young Chorister of the Year at the age of 12. Thanks go to Phill for detailing what Edward has been up to and the beginning of his amazing journey ...... "Edward has had an amazing year since winning a National BBC singing competition and being crowned as The BBC Chorister of the Year at the age of 12. The performance opportunities and recordings this past year have taken Edward around the country and abroad including the opportunity to work and record with some amazing musicians. The list of engagements is an impressive one with many notable highlights for Edward.

So it's the General Election this Thursday 8th June 2017 where you can vote at Iwade Village Hall. We have asked all candidates for a paragraph and a picture so you can read what they have to say before you visit. Click on more... to read all about them in alphabetical order of surname.

Iwade Can Sing - now for adults and kids!
So Iwade Can Sing, part of We Can Sing UK has been going strong for around a year now and is soon to have some strong competition from Iwade Can Sing - Kidz which starts on Monday 15th May 2017 from 4pm to 5pm for 6-12 year olds. It's £15 for 4 weeks. To book a place or for more information email alanna@wecansinguk.com. If you are an adult and would like to join Iwade Can Sing it is currently on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm at All Saints Church Iwade, running until Monday 12th June with a performance planned for 18th June and will probably reconvene in September. Swale West KCC Election this Thursday!
This Thursday if you are on the electoral roll and live in Iwade you can vote at Iwade Village Hall between 7am and 10pm for the Kent County Councillor to represent Swale West division of which Iwade is a part. Strictly in alphabetical order of surname the candidates standing are Mike Baldock UKIP, Tim Valentine Green Party, Mike Whiting Conservative Party, Marc Wilson Liberal Democrats and Tony Winckless Labour Party. IwadeVillage.co.uk has today requested a short paragraph and a picture for each candidate and will publish those provided on Wednesday 3rd May to allow residents to make an informed choice.
