Well done to the Iwade allotments project and all involved...
Congratulations to the Iwade Allotment Association whose allotments won Iwade a runner-up prize in the Environment category of the 2011 Kent Village of the Year competition.

Elham won the competition overall and were deserved winners so congratulations go to them.

Thank you to Action with Communities in Rural Kent for organising the competion and to James Hunt (@IwadeJames if you're on twitter) and Joan Exley for coming along to the presentations with me.

The Kent Showground sponsored the competition this year along with Kent Men of Trees who offer all winners and runners up a free tree.

Last year Broadband won a runner-up prize and this year it was Allotments. What will 2012 bring for Iwade?!
