Do you qualify for housing assistance?
The Iwade Parish Council inform me that Swale have some essential repair loans available in accordance with their Housing Assistance Policy. Click on more to find out just that about the policy and whether you or someone you know qualifies.

The Swale Housing Assistance Policy includes:

Interest free loans of up to £5,000 for repairs to remove serious hazards in the home - available to owner-occupiers on certain means tested benefits.

Repair grants of up to £1,000 for urgent and essential repairs - available to owner-occupiers over the age of 60 on certain means tested benefits.

Practical help to the over 60s through our Staying Put Service including handyperson service and home safety checks.

Interest free loans of up to £25,000 per dwelling to bring long-term empty homes back into use.

Advice on energy efficiency grants and discounted products available.

Details of the full policy can be found on Swale Borough Council’s website at www.swale.gov.uk or copies can be obtained by telephoning Sarah on 01795 417538.

Could you benefit or do you know someone who could?
